Social Services Coordinator
The Social Services Coordinator manages and coordinates social service programs, ensuring that clients receive necessary resources and support. This role involves case management oversight, policy implementation, and interagency coordination to enhance service accessibility for Arkansas residents.

Special Job Requirements:
Typical Functions:
Oversee case assignments and workload distribution among social services staff. Ensure programs comply with state and federal guidelines. Develop partnerships with community resources and service providers. Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Provide training and support to frontline social workers.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to manage and coordinate multiple cases and projects Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities Case management and service coordination Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques Knowledge of Arkansas social service laws, policies, and regulations Intermediate in data management, reporting, and documentation Familiarity with trauma-informed care and cultural competency Understanding of behavioral health and protective services
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of work experience in human services programs or public service work. Required to have a background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check. Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
