Residential Services Manager
The Residential Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and quality of care within state-operated residential facilities. This role ensures that services provided meet regulatory standards and best practices while promoting a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for residents. The Residential Services Manager supervises staff, coordinates programs, and collaborates with stakeholders to enhance residential care services for individuals in state care.

Typical Functions:
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of a state residential facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to enhance the quality of residential services. Ensure that services provided align with the needs and well-being of residents, including healthcare, personal development, and recreational activities. Supervise, train, and evaluate residential staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to perform their roles effectively. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized service plans to address the unique needs of residents. Address resident concerns, advocate for their needs, and implement strategies to improve their quality of life. Monitor facility operations to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and care regulations. Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to maintain high-quality standards. Address and resolve any compliance issues or corrective actions required by regulatory agencies. Ensure emergency preparedness and crisis management protocols are in place and effectively communicated. Serve as a liaison between the facility, families, guardians, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate effective communication and service coordination.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Strong leadership skills to manage a medium to large staff. Ability to resolve conflicts and create a positive, supportive work culture. Experience in staff supervision, training, and development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with staff, residents, families, and stakeholders. Ability to explain policies and procedures in a clear and effective manner. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational, resident, and staff concerns. Detail-oriented approach to compliance monitoring, documentation, and program evaluation. Familiarity with Arkansas state regulations regarding residential care, healthcare standards, and safety requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least four years of experience in residential services, social services, behavioral health, healthcare, program management, or a related field, including at least two years in a leadership capacity.
