Nurse Instructor
The Nurse Instructor is responsible for teaching and mentoring nursing students or healthcare staff within the state's nursing programs or healthcare facilities. This role requires expertise in nursing theory, clinical practice, and curriculum development, with a focus on promoting educational excellence and enhancing the skills of future nurses.

Special Job Requirements:
Typical Functions:
Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing curriculum and training programs. Teach nursing theory and supervise clinical practice for students or staff. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and evaluations. Stay current with nursing trends, evidence-based practices, and educational methodologies. Maintain and ensure compliance with accreditation standards for nursing education programs. Participate in professional development and continue education efforts to improve instructional methods.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, teaching methodologies, and adult learning principles. Strong ability to design, implement, and assess educational programs. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to motivate and guide students and staff in their professional development. Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory standards for nursing education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas. Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience. Previous teaching experience in a nursing education setting is preferred. Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
