NTI Assistant Director

The Northwest Technical Institute (NTI) Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the NTI Director in the overall management and administration of NTI. This role involves assisting with the development and implementation of vocational and technical programs, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring compliance with applicable accreditation standards. The NTI Assistant Director will collaborate with educators, industry partners, and a variety of assorted personnel in an attempt to enhance the quality of education and support student success in various technical and vocational fields.

Typical Functions:

Assist the NTI Director in developing and executing a strategic plan for NTI, aligning with institutional goals and industry needs. Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of vocational and technical programs and curricula. Oversee daily operations of NTI, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management. Assist in managing the school’s budget, resources, and financial planning, ensuring efficient use of funds. Supervise and provide support to faculty and staff, including hiring and training. Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, employers, and community organizations to enhance program relevance and job placement opportunities for students. Advocate for policies and funding that support the growth and development of vocational and technical education. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to school activities, programs, and performance. Organize and coordinate events, workshops, and training sessions that promote technical skills, career exploration, and industry partnerships. Stay current with the latest developments and trends in vocational and technical education and workforce development.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Empathy and patience in working with students, educators, and industry partners. Proficiency in using educational technology, workforce development tools, and software.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field. Minimum of 4years of experience in a vocational and/or technical field of education or a related field. Comprehensive knowledge of vocational and technical education principles, practices, and technologies. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including educators, industry partners, and community leaders. Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to vocational and technical education. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in vocational and technical education and workforce development.

Required Certificates:
