Early Childhood Program Manager
The Early Childhood Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing early childhood education programs. This role involves developing program policies, managing subordinate personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering an engaging and supportive environment for children. The manager will also collaborate with parents, educators, and community partners to promote the success and growth of the program.

Special Job Requirements:
Typical Functions:
Plan, develop, and implement early childhood education programs and activities. Hire, train, and supervise program personnel, including teachers and support personnel. Ensure program compliance with state and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. Evaluate and monitor program quality, making necessary improvements to enhance effectiveness. Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities and children’s progress. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and providing updates on their children’s development. Manage program budgets, allocate resources, and ensure efficient use of supplies. Organize professional development opportunities for subordinate personnel in an attempt to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. Act as a liaison between the program and external agencies, organizations, and stakeholders.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Empathy and patience in dealing with children and families. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships. Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, practices, and curriculum development. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with budget management and financial planning. Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to early childhood programs. Certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Ability to work effectively with children, families, community partners, and a variety of personnel. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in early childhood education.
